Circle CD quilt

I super love this idea!

It is on my project list for sure!!!! No piecing involved! Just trace the circles on fabric, cut them out, sew them directly on a sheet, then take all three of your layers and quilt them together.

Food, Inc.

So I just watched the documentary entitled "Food,Inc." I am so upset by the standards set forth in this great nation!  My jaw dropped more than just a few times. I'm in pure amazement that I had no idea what is really in the food that we all take in and that we give our kids!

For this reason I will be so glad when I can start my own farm. I want to eat my food that I know I raised and I know what I've fed it and that the animal has no artificial hormones or biogenetically altered chemical feeds given to it.

If you have not watched this film you really should. I feel so empowered knowing that I can change this for my family and no longer be a victim to the trash they are feeding us in the supermarkets!

Chickens Magazine

Picked up a Chickens Magazine today!!!

So lately I have been feeling the urge to go green and also to provide more for my family than just running to the grocery store. I picked up this magazine today and it has some great information on how to raise chickens!

I can't wait til we get my little mini farm going! Maybe next year you will see me posting about my chickens,turkeys,ducks, and possibly a pig :)

I have made a ton of these :)  Coasters/dish rags made from old t shirts crocheted and re purposed into something useful. I made these for my daughter's teachers for back to school gifts.
